DANNY GLOVER, JR.

Partner

Danny graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law in 1995 and joined the firm that same year. Danny became a partner in our firm in 2004, and in 2006 our firm officially changed its name to Teague & Glover, P.A.

Danny’s practice concentrates on significant personal injury and wrongful death cases throughout the state, especially in northeastern North Carolina, including Elizabeth City, the Outer Banks and the surrounding seven counties of Dare, Currituck, Camden, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Chowan and Gates. Danny also works with partner Keith Teague on all of the firm’s criminal, traffic and DWI cases. Danny is a certified administrator of the NHTSA Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, and he is one of the few attorneys in the State who owns and operates his own Alco-Sensor III portable breath test device.

Danny previously served as the Chair of the AutoTorts Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (formerly the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers). In 2009 Danny completed two consecutive three-year terms on the Board of Governors of the NCAJ, and he has just been elected to serve an additional three-year term on the Board of Governors.  He is presently a Trustee for the NCAJ Political Action Committee; is a member of the NCAJ PAC selection committee; and is a member of the NCAJ UATRA sub-committee.  Danny previously served on the NCAJ Legal Affairs Committee and the NCAJ DWI Task Force.

Danny was selected as a Super Lawyer for 2009 and 2010, and he was also recently selected to the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He is also Avvo-rated.  In June 2010 Danny received the prestigious Ebbie Award Citation of Excellence, given by NCAJ to those very few members, selected by the NCAJ President, who exemplify and perform exceptional service and commitment to NCAJ in its work.

Danny is married and has three children. He is an avid cyclist, runner and is a die-hard UNC Tarheel fan.

Danny also acted as the Building Team Chair and Capital Campaign Director at New Community Church in Elizabeth City during the construction of its new worship auditorium.
