Manteo
was founded in 1899 and is considered by many to be the cultural, commercial,
and governmental center of Dare County. Approximately 6,000 people live in the
Manteo, North Carolina vicinity. Manteo boasts a restored waterfront and the
nearby Roanoke Island Festival Park, which hosts numerous activities and
